there is no such thing as an IT bag anymore but if any two ladies were going to lead the charge in bringing it back it would be mary-kate olsen and rachel bilson for obvious reasons. I don't know how any of us are going to get our hands on mk's alexander wang bag this fall, I mean really. I am loving rachel bilson's temperley london mata hari tote and also this miu miu she is pictured with below. both very different bags, both extraordinary for different reasons. on two extremely fashionable girls each with their distinctly incredible style.

during nyfw victoria beckham previewed her collection. my immediate reaction was to like it but wonder who on earth could actually look stunning in the pieces. well i guess my question has been answered, this dress was made for VB. Literally. She was photographed at the elton john post oscar party.

Her makeup looks amazing too!

Oscar 2009 fashion

I have to  say everyone looks pretty good. The white trend continued and you know that makes me happy. Nate Silver is predicting a win for Taraji P. Henson tonight, which is surprising but he got the whole 538 electoral votes right so I am excited to see, I have loved her since Baby Boy.

I will post more designers when I get names, Ryan Seacrest and the ABC team are doing a terrible job at getting the names out there, so frustrating. My personal favorites.

In some cases the front row at nyfw f/w 2009 outshined the catwalk, although I really liked Preen and Rodarte, and the Barbie show was interesting...

obligatory grammy post

it is a pretty sad day in fashion when Kim Kardashian steals the show. She did a really bad job hosting on E but no one has ever looked that good failing. Miley Cyrus gets high marks, its a little dated but by far the best I've seen her look at any award show.

A nod to Audrina and Jennifer Hudson (I think she made an excellent choice)as well.

freida pinto - rising

Freida Pinto's stardom is rising fast, and so is her stock in the fashion world. I love this Mumbai born actress / model. She is stunning and can act. From commercials, to runway, to Slumdog Millionaire, which is the best movie of the year, in my opinion.

I'm betting Dev Patel has a major crush on her, I admit to a bit of a girl crush on her too. I am hoping she can become a style icon as she continues to mature. It would be nice to see a bit of diversity on the "lists". She's recently been in Zac Posen, Derek Lam, Azzaro and according to her stylist George Kotsiopoulos, designers are bending over backward since the globes (WWD). I am awaiting that breakout style moment, the I have arrived dress. Perhaps at the Oscars? That's a lot of pressure though.

I'm looking forward to some magazine covers for this girl. She will be in March Vanity Fair. This scan is from Arena.

follow-up post from the premiere. ginnifer goodwin in bottega veneta, and jennifer connelly in balmain. check out the balmain shoes! i love them and am patiently awaiting a decent "inspired" pair. topshop and also have something remotely similar, but i have a feeling we are going to have to wait for the king, steve madden to get a good pair of these.

I also love the shot of ginnifers bottega shoes from behind, it really shows off the detail of the heel. if you see something similar let me know. and of course the statement necklace is a huge trend this season and the amber one she wore perfectly complements the clutch and color and offsets her natural makeup and side swept hair.
