if you've been following you know that I annointed givenchy studded stilletos as one of my picks for the most f'in fantastic fall footwear. well I'm not the only one who noticed the drool worthiness of this design, aldo has as well. i introduce you to guerrette. inspired, look alike, falls short of knockoff territory, available for pre order here aldo guerrette
I(much like I suspect many of you) feel that rihanna is waay over-hyped particularly when it comes to her fashion / style being touted as icon level. That said, every once in a while she does manage to wear something I feel is worth mentioning. I really like the rag and bone dress she wore while shopping at Barney's on Madison the other day. It is a great balance between fierce and feminine, and hits on the floral trend. The Balmain fringe sandals are a decent pretty decent too.
Vanessa Simmons pictured here with Angela at Vanessa's 26th b-day party. I think it's fantastic that Vanessa is wearing a very affordable jumper from American Apparel, guess she's trying to stay recession free also. Can I just note how much I adore Angela's absurd weave? I lurve it, I want it. Not sure my guy would feel the same about it though. That much weave takes nerve. It's cute though. Interested in the jumper? Go here chambray jumpsuit
I watch Daddy's Girls, guilty pleasure. Not much happens, but they are sweet girls.
Tony Bianco has fall shooties that are pretty much a dead on kncokoff of Alexander Wang booties. Unfortunatley they only ship to Australia and New Zealand. Find a friend and get these babies. I was wondering whether or not to post these because they are blatant copies but as you recall from a previous post I took the dive on the Forever 21 wang - a - likes (don't judge me).
As you can tell from my outfit posts watches are one of my favorite accessories and the bigger the better. Just as all the hype surrounded Michelle Obama and her purple plasteramic Toywatch I was lucky enough to win a White OVERSIZE Plasteramic by following @toywatch on twitter.
Cant tell you how long I've longed for one of these, probably since Oprah's Favorite Things it is a lovely piece of luxury at a an extraordinary price. I have been wearing it every day, with a suit, with jeans, everywhere. It makes a statement and adds a pop to everything. The white is perfect and oddly enough, doesn't get dirty or scratched *hmm*
Once I get back into the swing *cough cough* of outfit posts, look to see plenty with this brilliant timepiece.
Check out the entire collection at Toywatch I emplore you.
In what may be the diffusion line to end all diffusion lines, target has teamed with the sister team from Rodarte for its Go International line this winter. Women's Wear Daily reported the news and the best part is it is going to be 55 pieces, available 12/20 and the highest price item a leopard print jacket will be $79.99
If you recall I picked their boots out as one of my top 3 for fall 09 HERE and Miley is featured in them for the Aug 2009 issue of Elle
What do you think? Can the avant garde style and unique vision be diffused into a low priced target line? Undoubtedly there will be those that are going to complain about it being watered down for the masses, but I will take a little water with my Rodarte if I have to I think.
H&M has one of the best Divided collections to date in the pipeline for fall winter 2009. The look book is truly drool-worthy and as always the best part is affordability. I would run out for these items even if I was a millionaire. I hope they are as well made as the design seem to indicate. I see rodarte and some givenchy inspirations from seasons past. Sharp voluminous shoulders and sleeves (sorta like YSL cruise previously posted), studs, lace faux leather. fingerless gloves and motorcycle jeans and studded cuff bracelets.
Rage and Bone, Cruise 2010. There is nothing particulary groundbreaking here but I lurve it none the less. I adore the layers and particularly like they way it is so easy to translate directly to the street. Bonus - you have a lot of this stuff in your closet already so go for it for summer 2009.
The YSL Cruise 2010 Collection is aspirational. Love it to bits. The puff shoulder bolero is absolutely brilliant. The use of color is spectacular. This is definitely among my faves, I will be working hard to find a way to achieve this silhouette. Stefano Pilati strikes again.
